Participants on the LOMEX platform trade spot contracts that standardize the quality, quantity, payment and delivery of agricultural goods.

The WESTBRIDGE MICROFINANCE INSTITUTION (WMI)I is a agriculture focused lender that caters to microfinance banks and other small to mid-sized retail financial institutions to which it provides financing and operational support in reaching and managing their agricultural sector customers.

This will revolve around a microfinance ecosystem of 3 to 5 institutions that will serve as the first set of field partner financial institutions. This digital platform, comparable to a Banker’s Bank ecosystem, in which WMI designs, structures and delivers a program of training in risk, regulation, underwriting, sales and marketing.

Eligibility Criteria :

1. Be a Ecowas-based entity or team of individuals with a demonstrated entrepreneurial mindset and with the skills required to take a business idea from the concept stage to marketable product or service stage.

2. Have a unique value proposition and solution dealing with an impactful sector-related problem in logistics, commodities and or Fintech.

3. The idea or solution needs to be centered around Togo’s key competitive advantages and assets in the above three business segments and be past the R&D stage (i.e pre-commercialization and beyond).

4. The sponsoring team or entity should be able to articulate how their proposed business solution would yield quantifiable benefits for the region and the Continent.

5. Be nominated by one of the Center’s institutional partners, and

6. Be willing to operate from Togo
